About MIDDLE Project
MIDDLE investigates mediation as a foundation for dynamic language education in secondary and post-secondary contexts. Mediation is understood as the active co-construction of meaning. This framework explores how educators and learners interact dynamically across languages, cultures, and educational contexts to build transformative capacity.

Research Goals & Objectives
To investigate the transformative capacity of mediation practices in cultivating inclusive, socially responsive learning spaces across secondary and higher education contexts.
Methodology & Data Collection
Qualitative Methodology
Our qualitative approach leverages classroom video and audio recordings, ongoing educator reflective journals, and targeted interviews. Data is systematically coded and analyzed using NVivo to identify core patterns in learner-educator mediation across borders.
Quantitative Data
Quantitative insights are gathered via broad-scale LimeSurvey distributions and standardized evaluation rubrics. The resulting datasets are processed using SPSS to validate the broader impact and transformative capacity of our implemented methodologies.
Timeline
